- Founded in North Carolina from a former group of traction power professionals from
the transit switchgear division of the Ohio Brass
Company's Transit Division.
1995 - Became a member of The Marmon Group, an international
association of more than 60 autonomous manufacturing
and service companies with sales in excess of $6
billion.
1998 - Acquired substantially all of the assets of UniTrac Systems, a specialty firm with deep roots in the supply of Overhead Contact Equipment and switch machines for electrified transit systems.
2000 - Purchased the OB (Former Ohio Brass) Overhead
Transit Line from Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies
Corporation (formerly WABCO), which was integrated
with UniTrac Systems to form the Overhead Electrification
Group (OEG).
Acquired the EMC traction Operating Unit
of Ansaldo Transmissione e Distribuzione S.r.l.
a Company of Finmeccanica group.
Acquired the assets
of the Traction Rectifier Business of ABB Automation,
Inc. of New Berlin, Wisconsin.
2002 - Expanded facilities by adding 3500 square feet
of office space and 40,000 square feet of production
space along with a state of the art paint booth.
2007 - Sold its Traction Power Substation line to Reuel, INC.
2010 - IMPulse NC, Inc becomes IMPulse NC LLC
